Outdoor activity infrastructure requires less budget than indoor facilities but can serve a larger number of users. Authorities are realising that physical activity spaces in urban areas and in nature improve life and attract citizens and tourists. What does “Active living” mean for developing cities and providing infrastructure? Which good practices can we learn from? How to offer outdoor infrastructure and preserve nature at the same time?
With the support of The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the two IAKS Expert Circles on Urban Activity Areas and on Nature Activity Areas, we invite national and international executives to attend a comprehensive programme including facility visits.
Delegates: Municipal parks and sports departments, urban planners, landscape architects, scientists
Conference language: English
