There are many initiatives on tackling increased participation in sport and physical activity in Norway, but one initiative that has emerged these past three years is IAKS member Tverga, the resource center for self organized sports and physical activity.

2022 IAKS UK Spring Event on 04 May 2022 at University of Birmingham

An insight into some of the facility infrastructure for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and exploring the legacy benefits of hosting major international sporting event. The networking event will give delegates a chance to learn more about the design and operation of the sports facilities at the university and a chance to explore them afterwards with a building tour.

The design solution is an unprecedented structure which is an incredible piece of bamboo architecture. The Arc is the newest gymnasium building on campus at the world-renowned Green School in Bali, Indonesia. IBUKU has pioneered a new design vocabulary, making its own rules along the way.

Eisring Süd Sports and Fun Hall in Vienna

The newly built sports and fun hall, a modern multifunctional facility, opened in Vienna in December 2021. Master planner RAUMKUNST has opted for an innovative, sustainable energy strategy in the overhaul of „Eisring Süd“ by using 100 % of the waste heat from the ice preparation process for space heating and hot water.
